This last week my mom, Cache and I were able to go visit my Sister and her hubby in DC. It was such a great trip. I'd never been so it was sooo cool to see all the historic places. Here's a run down of our trip:
Monday: Flew in to DC - Very Long flight with a Lay over in Vegas. Cache did great! He slept most of the trip and played the rest of it.
Tuesday: Lunch at the Reagan Building Washington Monument Smithsonian Castle American History Museum WWII Memorial Lincoln Memorial =Lots and Lots of Walking
Wednesday: White House (From a long ways away) Saw Obama leave with the Motor Cade. Museum of Natural History Mary Poppins Play at the Kennedy Center (Very interesting - picture naked Statues dancing around with the children on Stage)
Thursday: Arlington Cemetery - Changing of the Guard Fort Mchenry (Where the Star Spangled Banner was written)
Friday: National Archives Museum (Declaration of Independence and all) The Capitol Jefferson Memorial Spy Museum (Almost - it cost way too much) Saturday: Mt. Vernon (Washington's House, Boat Ride, and Museum) Very Cool! Sunday: Flew home - Cache and I were so glad to be home. We really really really missed John!
