... even though we loved it, it was time to move on.
We decided to move all the big stuff the day before Season's blessing since we would have lots of family around to help us. April 30th was our first night in the new place. I was sad that morning. It felt like the close of a big chapter.
Some memories from the first house we owned:
- Painting the Walls.
- Major cleaning before we moved in - the previous owner left a complete disaster, toilets, fridges and everything.
- Cleaning up the landscape to be able to have our first garden.
- A Drunk Driver crashing into our bedroom at 4:00 AM
- Bringing our first two babies home.
- Picking up beer cans from the 6 guys that live behind us.
- Our wonderful ward.
- The park down the road.
- Having a pantry
- Putting in new kitchen and bathroom floors
- Having to replace our water-main after multiple floods downstairs.
- A renter downstairs.
- Making the downstairs pretty so my sister could live there.
- Finally getting a snowblower to take care of our huge driveway.
- The ice rink that was our parking spaces behind the house.
- Fun parties and get-togethers.
- Hot Hot Summers! (NO AC! Ugh!)
- Cold cold Winters. (Bad insulation)
- The mulberry tree.
As you can see we were overflowing. :)
... In with the new
Our new and empty home.
A few of our favorite things:
- The ice maker :) It does crushed ice! If you know me you know how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this feature!
- Our upstairs family room. That's where all the toys go. :)
- The fact that there is an upstairs.
- Our master bedroom. Big tub, walk in closet and all. :) :)
- The kids having separate bedrooms.
- The two car garage.
- AC and efficient heat.
- Lots of windows so lots of natural light.
- The nice think faux wood blinds. So much easier to clean.
- A half bath downstairs for guests.
I have to give a big shout-out of thanks to our family that helped us. My mom came and stayed for about 10 days helping me clean and move most of the small stuff over to the house before the big move. My sister Kayla came from North Carolina and my sis Sarah Beth was in town to help. Sarah and Garrett came down from Rupert and John's parents, Andy and my Dad and brother all helped out on the big moving day.
We couldn't have done it without all of you! Thanks so so much!

I love it Anna. So pretty and SO worth having separate bedrooms for the kids!
